Beautiful start to our 4th of July celebration. Our tour guide was full of historical facts with lots of funny stories, jokes and a wealth of information on plants and birds that lives on Shem Creek. Do the tour! You will get more than your money's worth. Our group were strangers when we started out but we were all laughing, talking and enjoying every moment together at the end. Thanks Ben-Jamin Toy! You're awesome and a whole lot of fun. We will be back!!!

Great adventure! Ben is a knowledgeable and friendly guide - given the 6 am meet time we were appreciative of his positivity and enthusiasm. We had a beautiful sunrise kayak tour complete with dolphin sightings. What a way to start the day. Thank you for the perfect Charleston experience- I highly recommend !

What an amazing experience! I rented a kayak here as a complete beginner, and the staff was absolutely fantastic. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable and confident before heading out on the water. What stood out the most was their positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm. They made the whole experience feel welcoming and fun from the very beginning. As someone trying kayaking for the first time, that made a huge difference. The kayaking itself was incredible. I got to explore beautiful Shem Creek, enjoy the peaceful scenery, see local wildlife, and even spot a dolphin! It ended up being one of the most enjoyable days I’ve had in a long time. Thank you to the entire team for your kindness, patience, and encouragement. You helped turn a first-time kayaking adventure into an unforgettable memory. I went out with my best friend and sister last week and had the best time! Dave and Matt were our tour guides- and if there’s anyone you wanna be out on the water with, it’s them. They knew about everything- from the types of trees, birds, water animals, anything and everything. They answered all of my questions with confidence because they knew what they were talking about. Dave can tell a really good dad joke and Matt had so many fun stories or fun facts. There was never a dull moment and made my friends trip out here unforgettable!

We had an absolutely incredible time with Nature Adventures on Shem Creek! If you’re looking for a way to get the family out on the water, this is it. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure we were all set up and comfortable before hitting the water. They truly go above and beyond to make the process seamless. The Kayaking Experience: The water was beautiful, and the paddling was manageable even for the kids. There is something so peaceful about being on Shem Creek, but the highlight was definitely the wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a couple of dolphins swimming nearby, which was a magical moment for the whole family! For the Kids: My boys especially loved the bird-watching guide provided by the team. It turned our paddle into a scavenger hunt, and they had a blast identifying the different species along the way. It’s those extra touches that make this outfitter stand out. Whether you're a local or just visiting, I can't recommend Nature Adventures enough. We’ll definitely be back for another family paddle!
